Title:
CORE FIXING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5614050
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent a core from falling and floating and decrease the variance in the thickness of products by plunging a pin from the outside of a mold toward the core print part of the core inside thereby fixing the core.

CONSTITUTION: When a stationary die 5 is emptied and a core fixing pin 1 is pulled upward, a spring 3 contracts and in this state, a core 7 is put in the stationary die 5. If the core fixing pin 1 is released after this, the tip of the core fixing pin 1 is plunged into the core print part of the core 7 by the force of the spring 3, by which the core 7 is fixed to the stationary die 5. Thence, if a movable die 6 is opposedly fixed to the stationary die 5 and molten metal is poured as specified, the molten metal runs to a product cavity 8, whereby the casting is obtained.
