To provide a core material pitch variable device of a fiber reinforced cord improved so as to be capable of varying the core material pitch in the fiber reinforced cord in a state made as uniform as possible in a direction arranging in a row.
The core material pitch variable device of the fiber reinforced cord comprises the inlet part 6 arranged just behind a forming device C of the wide belt-like fiber reinforced cord 5 wherein a plurality of core materials 3 are coated with a rubber 4, a pitch variable roll R wherein a forward ridge spiral 1 and a reverse ridge spiral 2 are formed to the outer peripheral surface of the roll in adjacent relationship, a taking-around mechanism 8 for winding and sliding the fiber reinforced cord 5 around the variable roll R to feed it to an outlet part 7 and a winding angle altering means 9 for freely altering and regulating the winding angle of the fiber reinforced cord 5 around the pitch variable roll R and is equipped with a control means 10 for altering the winding angle so as to allow the same to follow the feed distance of the fiber reinforced cord 5.
