To provide a core-recycling molding method that attains further improvement in productivity, concretely, capability of satisfying demands such as (1) shortening of molding time, (2) reduction of heating cost, (3) improvement of dimensional accuracy, and (4) improvement of mold releasability.
In the molding method, using core sand to which an aqueous solution of a binder (binder aqueous solution) composed of water-soluble inorganic salt is added, a water-soluble core (core) is aerator-molded. After casting using the core, the sand containing liquid generated by the sand drop of the core is recycled as the raw material of the core sand. The composition of the core sand is such that, when a prescribed air fluidization experiment is carried out, in a relation graph between the core sand moisture (X) and a fluidization rate (Y), the core sand moisture is lower than X in which Y shows a minimum value and that the binder aqueous solution is added in the quantity in which the addition of the binder can secure a required strength.
