On one end of a plate core piece 11, a magnetic pole tooth 11a is protrusively formed, and on the other end, a connecting part is formed. On one end of the connecting part, a first end surface 11d is formed in an arc shape centering on the connecting part. On the other end, a second end surface 11f is formed that can be fitted into the first end surface 11d of a neighboring core piece 11. A first core member 11 is made up of a plurality of the plate core pieces 11, aligned into a band shape via both end surfaces. A second core member 13 is made up of each core piece 11, aligned alternately in the longitudinal direction against the first core member 12. A core 14 is formed with the magnetic poles inside by stacking the first and second core members 12, 13, in such a way that each end part of each core piece 11 that neighbors in the stacking direction is overlapped, and that each connecting part is connected, to be freely rotatable via connecting means. In this core 14, a cutout is formed at the corner outside the core 14 of the second end surface 11f of each core piece 11.
