Title:
CORED WIRE FOR CR-MO GAS SHIELDED ARC WELDING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6068189
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a Cr-Mo weld metal which improves welding workability and exhibits excellent impact performance after stress relief annealing by adjusting adequately the component compsn. of a filled flux.

CONSTITUTION: A flux of a cored wire contains, by total weight of the flux, 5W 20% ZrO2, 3W10% SiO2, 5W15% iron oxide in terms of FeO, 3W15% MgO, ≤20% metallic Cr, 3W10% metallic Mo and 1W3.5% metallic Ti. The flux contains further the metallic Ti and TiO2 in the range shown by the following equation: 1%≤(0.25×TiO2+metallic Ti)≤3.5%. The flux is filled into the cored wire at such a rate at which the flux is incorporated at 10W20% by the total weight of the wire, by which the cored wire for Cr-Mo gas shielded arc welding is obtd.
