Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corner fixing buffer material made of corrugated fiberboard in place of a corner material made of foam polystyrene, which may not cause environmental pollution and can be transported and stored in a flat form prior to use and can be easily assembled at a site. SOLUTION: In the fixing buffer material, one or more longitudinal, fold lines 2 are provided on a corrugated fiberboard 1 and a plurality of transverse fold lines 3 are provided normal to the lines 2, and on the lines 2, a plurality of notches 6, 7 having an approximately tetragonal or hexagonal shape formed from apexes, including right angles, at a pair of intersections 4, 5, where the lines 3 intersect the lines 2, are provided. Both of the opposite edges 9, 10 of the fiberboard 1 are folded inwardly toward the fold lines (d), (e) in the central portion 8 so that the edges 9, 10 are positioned between the lines (d), (e) to form a plurality of cylindrical parts each having a triangular or tetragonal shape, and thereafter the edges of the notches 6, 7 having an approximately tetragonal or hexagonal shape are brought into abutting engagement or engagement to form a corner part.
