A corner pad 20 comprises: a first end wall 21 covering first edge faces 2a and 2b of an article 1; a second end wall 22 covering second edge faces 2c and 2d of the article 1; a pair of side walls 24 covering a front surface 3 or a rear surface 4 of the article 1 respectively; first and second insert walls 29 and 30 contiguous with the side edge of the second end wall 22, contiguous with the end edge of the side wall unit 24, being sectioned by a sectioning ruler line 34 extending at an angle from a boundary between first and second end walls 21 and 22, and being arranged in an overlapping manner inside the side wall 24 by being folded along the sectioning ruler line 34; and a holding portion 37 for maintaining overlap of the first insert wall 29, the second insert wall 30 and a side wall 24 overlapping in this order from inside.
