PURPOSE: To provide a small-sized corona motor generating high driving power through a simple structure.
CONSTITUTION: A stator 1 having at least a pair of electrodes of different polarity is dispose oppositely to a rotor comprising an insulator through a micro gap and charged particles, generated from the electrode of stator through discharge phenomenon, adhered to the rotor 2 or taken out in order to charge the rotor with same polarity as the stator approaching thereto thus rotating the rotor with the repelling force acting between the electrode and the rotor. In such corona motor, the stator is provided with main electrodes 12 extending radially, at a constant angle, from the center on the surface of an insulating board. A cone or conical discharge electrode 14 is brought into contact with the surface of the main electrode and conducted. The center line passing through the tip of main electrode is inclining against a normal to the surface of the rotor.
