Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a simple coating method such as a solvent coating method without damaging an ink passage pattern by using a cation polymerization cured material of an epoxy resin having a structural unit represented by a specific formula in a coating resin layer.
CONSTITUTION: A polyfunctional epoxy compd. (high in epoxy equivalent) has a structural unit represented by Y formula I or II and provides a cured material having high crosslinking density and excellent mechanical strength. The epoxy group of this compd. shows high cation polymerization properties as compared with a bisphenol A type epoxy resin. Further, this compd. contains no aromatic ring at all or is extremely low in the content thereof even if it contains the same and has excellent weathering resistance. Furthermore this compd. shows no compatibility and swellability with respect to a positive photosensitive material layer and shows strong adhesion to a substrate. This strong adhesion is considered to be developed by a hydroxyl group formed as a byproduct by the epoxidizing reaction of olefin with peracetic acid performed at the time of production.
