To provide a corpse refrigerator in which a corpse is put in or out through the entry of a corpse chamber without damaging the corpse kept in good conditions.
The corpse refrigerator 1 includes: a body casing 2 formed like a box; a corpse housing chamber 4 formed in the body casing 2 and having an entry port 4A formed in the side surface to bring a corpse into or out; a cooling mechanism 15 for cooling the inside of the corpse housing chamber 4; and a lid 7 pivotally supported so as to be swingable in the substantially vertical direction on the lower edge of the entry port 4A to open or close the entry port 4A of the corpse housing chamber 4. In the refrigerator 1, leg struts 76 are pivotally supported so as to be freely spiral in a substantially horizontal direction on the lower part of the body casing 2, and leg struts 76 turning around at predetermined support positions support the lid 7 in a substantially horizontal state by being swung from the entry port 4A at that position.
