PURPOSE: To manufacture cold rolled steel sheet small in edge drop.

CONSTITUTION: Pinch rolls (2-1)-(2-4) are provided on the upper stream of edging vertical rolls 1-1, 1-2, electric current is supplied to the punch rolls, the edging vertical rolls are grounded to energize and heat a sheet metal 6 between the pinch rolls and the edging vertical rolls. A pair of multistage edging vertical rolls are energized to heat the sheet metal between the edging vertical rolls. In this device, a horizontal pressing roll can be provided near the edging vertical rolls. Further, this device is provided with a thermometer T near the edging vertical rolls to control the temperature. Consequently, since a part touching the edging vertical rolls of the sheet metal shows the maximum temperature, it is edged effectively, thereafter a dogbone shape short of edge drop can be obtained by cold rolling and the cold steel sheet small in edge drop can be manufactured.
