Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a correcting lens for forming a high resolution phosphor screen pattern inexpensively by forming plural flat or curved faces on at least front surface or rear flat surface of a continuous lens surface having three- dimensional free curved surface.

CONSTITUTION: A correcting lens 1 is made of optical plastic of high transmission, such as polymethyl methacrylate, and it has a composite of plural flat or curved faces 2 whose which inclinations in X and Y directions are different for a reference surface 1a. That is, a discontinuous lens is formed on a continuous lens three-dimensional free curved surface 1b as the reference for inclination angles. Accordingly, only one correction lens is necessary, so that a decrease in exposure accuracy due to positioning error is prevented and also the cost is largely reduced.
