Abstract:
To provide a corrosion monitoring method and a corrosion monitoring device, enabling corrosion of austenitic stainless steel in spent nuclear fuel reprocessing equipment to be monitored with a higher degree of accuracy than ever before.SOLUTION: A device for monitoring corrosion of the spent nuclear fuel reprocessing equipment comprises: monitors 11,12,13 measuring a corrosion potential of the reprocessing equipment in liquid-contact with nitric acid solution; and a determination device 20 determining whether or not a corrosion potential measured by the monitors 11,12,13 is equal to or larger than a threshold determined on the basis of the nitric acid concentration of the nitric acid solution and an excessive passivation potential of the reprocessing equipment to be measured.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
