To provide a corrosion-proof chain, avoiding lowering of strength due to hydrogen embrittlement, preventing separation of coating in a pin press-in region and a bush engagement region in assembling and knitting a chain, cutting and jointing the chain, and in using the chain, and exhibiting high corrosion proof effect over a long period of time in the corrosive atmosphere of salt water, acid or alkali.
This corrosion-proof chain is formed by assembling and knitting a pair of right and left inner plates 11, 11, a bush 12 pressed in between the inner plates 11, 11, a pair of right and left outer plates 13, 13 disposed outside on both sides of the inner plates 11, 11, a connecting pin 14 loosely passed through the bush 12 to be pressed in between the outer plates 13, 13, and a roller 15 loosely fitted to the outer peripheral surface of the bush 12. In the corrosion-proof chain, a zinc-aluminum alloy coating is formed on one of the outer plate 13 and the connecting pin 14, and a nickel-series coating is formed on the other thereof, and similarly a zinc-aluminum alloy coating is formed on one of the inner plate 11 and the bush 12, and a nickel-series coating is formed on the other thereof.
