Abstract:

To obtain corrosion-proofness at a welded part of a titanium-clad sheet and a steel sheet pile equivalent to that of other parts by sealing with a brazing filler metal the end face of the steel sheet and welded metallic part generated by welding.

The whole of the end face 2c of a titanium-clad sheet 2 and a welded metallic part 3 is sealed by a brazing filler metal 4. By this structure, there is no chance that the end face 2c of the titanium-clad sheet and the welded metallic part 3 comes into direct contact with seawater, and a problem that corrosion-proofness deteriorates is solved. In addition to the corrosion-proofness of the brazing filler metal 4, wettability to Ti, Fe and brittleness shall be excellent. Also, it is necessary not to form a compound between Ti or Fe and a brittle metal. For that purpose, by using pure Ag brazing filler metal or titanium brazing filler metal as the brazing filler metal 4, the corrosion-proofness can be maintained for a long period.
