Abstract:

PURPOSE: To easily form a corrosion-resistant layer on the periphery of a steel tubular pile even on construction site by a method in which a tape having a hot- bonding adhesive layer on its one side is spirally wound in a partly lapped state on the periphery of a steel tubular pile preheated.

CONSTITUTION: A heat-shrinkable polyolefin tape 1, having a adhesive layer 2 composed of a hot-bonding polyolefin with adhesive functional groups on its one side, is spirally wound in a partly lapped state on the periphery of a steel tubular pile 4 preheated, whereupon the adhesive layer 2 between the pile 4 and the tape 1 is thermally joined with the adhesive layer 2 in the lapped portion of the tape 1. A high-strength and high-performance anticorrosive layer can thus be obtained on the periphery of the pile.
