Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the corrosion resistance of a Cu or Cu alloy member and to reduce the thickness of an apparatus by forming a layer contg. Zn, Sn or Al at a high concn. on the surface of the member contacting with a corrosive medium.
CONSTITUTION: One or more among Zn, Sn and Al are stuck to at least the surface of a Cu or Cu alloy member contacting with a corrosive medium or to the entire surface of the member. The stuck metals are diffused by heating to form a layer contg. one or more among Zn, Sn and Al at a high total concn. of ≥10% on the surface of the member. The corrosion resistance of the member is improved and the thickness of an apparatus using the member is reduced.
