Abstract:
To provide a seawater-resistant magnetic material superior in corrosion resistance and durability against seawater.
The seawater-resistant magnetic material has a coating layer composed of at least one or more kinds of materials selected from nitride-based materials consisting of CrN, TiN, AlN, BN, BCN and AlBN and carbon-based materials including diamond-like carbon (DLC) containing hydrogen or TiC, on a surface coming into contact with seawater, of a substrate made from a magnetic body, and this coating layer is constituted of one or more coating layers.
