PURPOSE: To develop an Al alloy-type composite material excellent in corrosion resistance, by combining an Al-Sn alloy of a specific composition with a base material of Al or Al alloy by a vacuum vapor deposition method, an ion plating method, cladding method, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The surface of a base material of Al or Al alloy is degreased and cleaned and then this base material is placed into a vacuum chamber of ≤10-2Torr, on which a layer of Al-Sn alloy consisting of 1W70% Sn and the balance Al is formed to ≥0.1μm thickness by a vacuum vapor deposition method, an ion plating method, etc., or which is clad with a sheet of Al-Sn alloy having the above composition by means of rolling or pressure welding. By this method, the Al alloy composite material excellent in corrosion resistance can be stably manufactured.
