Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corrugated resin pipe cutter which is capable of constantly cutting a corrugated resin pipe at the center of a crest of the pipe even when the pitch of corrugations of the corrugated resin pipe is changed or even when the diameter of the pipe is changed.
SOLUTION: A receiving plate 4 fitting the groove of a corrugated resin pipe P is provided on one end of a cutter body 1 which is provided with a tool rest 8 capable of advancing and retracting motion by a feed screw 7. Further, two elastic guide plates 10 and a cutting edge 11 put in the middle between them, are mounted to the tool rest 8. Since the two elastic guide plates 10 sandwich a crest of the corrugated resin pipe P between themselves while deflecting by use of elasticity, the corrugated resin pipe P can be always cut at the center of a crest of the pipe.
