To reduce the weight of a U-shaped component bridge, to reduce the costs of a transport, building mechanical equipment, supports or the like, to enlarge a temporary support space and to also utilize the U-shaped component bridge even for a crossing traffic.
In the component bridge, a U-shaped precast segment is constructed as a bridge unit member, and the segment is connected in the bridge-axial direction while a floor slab is installed to the upper section of the segment and both members are integrated and the component bridge is built. In the component bridge, the segment 12 is composed of corrugated steel-plate webs 15 and lower floor slabs 17, which connect the lower sections of the left-right webs and in which PC main cables are inserted, and a joining site in the bridge-axial direction of the segment 12 is positioned at the place of a cast-in-place concrete cross beam. In the component bridge, the segments are connected mutually by inserting hoop-shaped connecting bars 22 arranged to the cross beam 19 extensively over connecting-bar inserting holes 21 formed to the webs 15.
