PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent, aqueous composition stable for an extended period and containing acyl isethionate.
SOLUTION: This cosmetic composition contains (1) at least one type of acyl isethionate and (2) a hydrolyzate of at least one type of protein containing a hydrophobic group in a sufficient quantity to dissolve the acyl isethionate in a physiologically acceptable medium.
