Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a cosmetic composition manifesting excellent opacity when used for makeup of the skin and thereby providing translucent makeup having entirely natural appearance, and having high filler content.
CONSTITUTION: This cosmetic composition contains powdery fraction dispersed in a binder comprising an emulsion comprising a fat phase and an aqueous phase, compatible to coating on the skin, and having a relative density D, and the particles of the fraction have sizes within a range of 0.5-100 μm a particle concentration C per unit volume of the composition at least equal to the critical particle concentration C*, and the filter content F defined by the formula and being between FO and 1.8×FO. Further, the value of the FO is 10 when D≤0.1, (60×D)+4 when 1<D≤0.6, and 40 when D>0.6. When the critical particle concentration C* is 10-80% and the particle concentration C is over 80%, the relative density D has a value equal to or more than 0.6 and F is preferably 40-60%.
