PURPOSE: To obtain a cosmetic, good in compatibility with other ingredients in production, having refreshing and light touch of use with low irritancy to the skin and excellent in safety by blending an organosilicone compound having silicon-carbon bonds with other ingredients.

CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic obtained by blending ≥5wt.% at least one of a compound expressed by formula I [R1 is CnH2n+1 (n is an even number of 6 to 20); m is 1 or 2], e.g. 1,1,1,3,5,5,5-heptamethyl-3-dodecyltrisiloxane, a compound expressed by formula II (n is 0 or 1), e.g. 1,1,3,3-tetramethyl-1,3-dioctyldisiloxane and a compound expressed by formula III (R2 is C6H13 or C8H17), e.g. 1,3,5,7- tetramethyl-1,3,5,7-tetrahexylcyclotetrasiloxane with other ingredients. The aforementioned compounds are obtained by hydrosilylating reaction of methylhydrogenpolysiloxane with an α-olefin, etc.
