Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cosmetic excellent in storage stability and functional characteristics (e.g. compatibility and spreadability) and useful as a base, a washing agent, an emulsifier, a conditioning agent or the like by including a specific anionic surfactant. SOLUTION: This cosmetic is obtained by including 0.051-50 wt.%, preferably 1-20 wt.% anionic surfactant of formula I R is an 8-20C hydrocarbon chain; X is (CH2 )n [(n) is 0-10] or (CH)2 ; Y is sulfonic acid or carboxylic acid: the pair ion is H<+> or a monovalent or divalent alkaline (earth) metal ion or an (organic)ammonium ion}. The anionic surfactant of formula I is obtained by reacting, e.g. a compound of the formula, Cm H2m+1 NH2 with a compound of the formula, CH2 =CHCN, reacting the resultant compound of the formula, Cm H2m+1 NHCH2 CH2 CN with a compound of formula II to afford a compound of formula III and reacting the compound of formula III with hydrochloric acid to afford a compound of formula IV.
