PURPOSE: A cosmetic, obtained by incorporating a specific amount of a polyhydric alcohol having three or more hydroxyl groups in the molecule thereof with inorganic powder, capable of eliminating the stickiness and poor compatibility and imparting moisture to the skin and having rich feeling and good affinity for the skin.

CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic obtained by incorporating 12W40wt%, preferably 15W40wt% one or two or more of polyhydric alcohols having three or more hydroxyl groups in the molecule thereof, e.g. glycerol, diglycerol, triglycerol, glucose, maltose, fructose, sorbitol or erythritol, with 1W20wt%, preferably 3W20wt% inorganic powder, e.g. titanium oxide, kaolin, silica, zinc flower, calcium carbonate, talc or mica.
