Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a cosemetic which contains a novel siloxane derivative having surface activity as an emulsifier and is suitably used as a cosmetic for skin care and hair care.
CONSTITUTION: This cosmetic contains a siloxane derivative of formula I [at least one of R1 and R2 is formula II (Q is a divalent 3 to 20 C hydrocarbon group; E13, R14 are each H, a 1 to 5 C hydrocarbon where at least one of them is H) and the rest is a 1 to 30 C hydrocarbon, X-R15 (X is an ether bond and/or a divalent hydrocarbon containing ether linkage; R15 is a 1 to 30 C hydrocarbon); (l), (m), (n) are 0 to 2,000], usually in an amount of 0.001 to 90wt.%, preferably 1 to 50wt.%. The derivative in the case of no X-R15 group is prepared by reaction of an organohydrogenpolysiloxane bearing at least one Si-H bond with an alkenyl glyceryl ether in the presence of a catalyst such as a chloroplatinic acid.
