Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for integrating a synchronous counter circuit and an asynchronous counter circuit while suppressing an increase in circuit resources.SOLUTION: A counter circuit 8 comprises: JK type flip flops FF in a plurality of stages; a plurality of first switches SW1 and a plurality of second switches SW2. The first switches SW1 are respectively configured such that a clock signal is input to a clock terminal in a synchronous mode, and that an output of the JK type flip flop FF in a previous stage is input to the clock terminal in an asynchronous mode. The second switches SW2 are configured such that a carry signal S2 is input to an input terminal in the synchronous mode, and that a high signal is input to the input terminal in the asynchronous mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
