Title:
COUNTER ELECTRODE IN NON-IMPACT RECORDING SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5559470
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To smooth toner supply by providing the insulator layer of the specific construction on the peripheral surface of a non-magnetic conductive drum.

CONSTITUTION: A counter electrode 2 is constituted by providing a porous insulation layer K of a uniform thickness filled with ferromagnetic metal 10 in fine pore portions on the circumferential surface of the non-magnetic conductive drum 9 provided on the outside circumference of a support drum 8. Then, in the toner feed part, the magnetic fluxed by magnets concentrate at the ferromagnetic metal 10 filled in the fine pores in the surface of the counter electrode 2 thus the toner is held while forming uneven magnetic fields. At the same time, the deposition and solidification of the toner on the counter electrode 2 are prevented even after the long-time operation, whereby the recording may be accomplished at high speeds and the always stable toner supply may be accomplished over a long period of time.
