Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a counting error.SOLUTION: A counter 7b prepares the frequency distribution of the cycle of an input signal during counting, calculates a representative value of the cycle of the input signal, sets the cycle added with the cycle with a length smaller than 0.5 times of the short-side part and the cycle measured immediately after thereof as a cycle after combined with respect to the measurement result of the cycle, makes a signal waveform added with the cycle to be a waveform for one cycle of one signal until the cycle after combined becomes more than 0.5 times the representative value, updates the representative value of the cycle to an up-do-date value by preparing the frequency distribution of the cycle of the input signal from a result of a signal combination during a counting period, counts the signal after the processing of the signal combination, and a total sum Ns of the number of cycles being less than 0.5 times of the representative value, and the total sum Nwof the number of cycles being more than (n+0.5) times and less than (n+1.5) times of the representative value are obtained from the result of the signal combination, and the counting result is corrected based on the frequencies Ns and NW.
