Abstract:

To achieve sufficient counterfeit-proofness, especially with respect to packaging materials for the pharmaceutical industry.

A packaging foil (1) for a product has a single layer of anti-counterfeiting metal foil that has an exposed first surface with a first non-textured area (5) and a first textured area (4) whose light diffraction, scattering, refraction or reflection is different from that of the first non-textured area, where the single layer of metal foil has an exposed second surface opposite the first exposed surface that has a second non-textured area opposite the first textured area. The single layer of the metal foil has no additional layer, and shows counterfeit-proofness because the first textured area (4) has an identification sign.
