Abstract:
To improve maintainability of a countershaft brake device.SOLUTION: A countershaft brake device according to one embodiment comprises: a housing; a brake shaft connected to a countershaft; a plurality of rotating plates engaged with the brake shaft so as to rotate integrally with the brake shaft; a plurality of non-rotating plates engaged with the housing so as to be incapable of rotating with respect to the housing; and a pressing member for pressing the plurality of rotating plates and the plurality of non-rotating plates at time of braking of the countershaft, and performing pressure welding between the plurality of rotating plates and the plurality of non-rotating plates. The housing includes a first housing and a second housing capable of being separated from each other in an axial direction. The first housing defines a first space housing the plurality of rotating plates and the plurality of non-rotating plates.
