To reduce the use amount of steels, when manufacturing a construction machine having lifting parts used for lifting a counterweight.
The construction machine includes a body formation member comprising a rear surface part 9a for forming a rear part, a front surface part 9c arranged so as to face the rear surface part 9a, a bottom surface part 9d arranged continuously with the rear surface part 9a and the front surface part 9c, and an upper surface part 9b arranged continuously with the rear surface part 9a and the front surface part 9c. The construction machine further includes fixed parts 10, 11 fixed to the inside of the body formation member, extension parts 12, 13 which are fixed and held on the fixed parts 10, 11 and extending vertically and the lifting parts 14, 15 which are formed integrally with the upper ends of the extension parts 12, 13 so as to project from the upper surface part 9b and used for the lifting operation. The thickness dimensions of the extension parts 10, 11 are smaller than those of the lifting parts 14, 15, respectively.
