PURPOSE: To attain a high speed operation of a counting device by preventing a reset circuit which sets an operation code from limiting the operating speed.
CONSTITUTION: A reset circuit which sets an operation code of a counting device inputs the reset data directly to the JK flip-flops 2-5 through an AND gate 9 or the OR gates 10, 11 and 12 together with the data on a gray code decoder circuit 6. Then a high speed operation is secured for the reset circuit that works synchronously with a clock. Therefore the reset operation is carried out synchronously with the clock and the spare time is secured for the initial operation caused by the rise of the next clock set after 8 reset operation. Thus no malfunction is never caused even with a high speed circuit operation.
