Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the appearance and durability of a folding sliding door by storing connecting plates inserted at the upper and lower ends of a style at the side end of the sliding door and considering a means facilitating the execution of the installation of the sliding door.
CONSTITUTION: In the mounting operation of a series of sliding doors A, B, a connecting sliding plate 6 is inserted previously into a sliding groove 4' in an upper rail 5' in vertically oppositely set-up sliding-door rails 5, 5', and each sliding plate 14, 14' is put into bearing sections 12, 12' in the lower sections of support levers 11, 11' in the lower rail 5. Each connecting hole 15, 15' and a connecting plate 16 are interposed and runners 2 are journalled, the runners 2 and the connecting plate 16 are inserted into sliding grooves and carried on a mounting site, and the sliding doors A, B are installed. The support levers 11, 11' are fitted to small port plugs at the lower ends of styles 7, 8, the upper ends of the styles 7, 8 are applied to the connecting sliding plate 6 in the sliding groove 4' of the upper rail 5', and each lever body 9, 9' is put into the rotating holes 10, 10' of the connecting sliding plate 6 from the small port plugs at the upper ends of the styles, thus connecting intermediate folding doors.
