Abstract:
To provide a coupling device element which has specific strength, rigidity, fastness and ductility characteristic, and to provide a coupling device or its element which satisfies a dimension requirement.SOLUTION: A coupling device 1 includes a sleeve 2 having an inner surface surrounding an elongated element to be connected, and deformation means 6 which is fit between the inner surface of the sleeve 2 and an adjacent outer surface of the elongated element with interference, and causes local deformation around the inner surface of the sleeve 2 and/or the adjacent outer surface of the elongated element. There are also provided a deformation means insertion tool, a coupling sleeve, deformation means and a method for coupling elements. The coupling device, the related components and the usage method provide capability to mutually couple different elements in a strong and/or ductile manner, and the coupling is adjustable according to the usage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
