Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent impulsive forces by fitting shock absorbers on the front and rear sides of a middle plate.
CONSTITUTION: A middle plate 11 with a force transmitting element 14 fixed on the front side thereof is placed between two shock absorbers 12 and 13, the element 14 being connectable with a coupler 50. The shock absorbers 12 and 13 in compressed condition are fitted, together with the plate 11, to a fixing device 10 on a vehicle 25. Even when the coupler 50 is moved forward and backward due to the push-pull vibration between vehicles, the force and strokes are transmitted smoothly and no shock is applied to the vehicles so that passengers receive no discomfort.
