To improve a coupling device coupling a work machine and a traveling lever of a carrier traveling along the work machine and allowing the carrier to follow or travel along with the work machine.
The coupling device 14 couples the work machine 1 and the traveling clutch lever 13 of the carrier 9 carrying crops harvested by the work machine 1, and it allows the carrier 9 to follow the work machine 1 by operating a traveling clutch 15 of the carrier 9 in accordance with traveling of the work machine 1. Safety devices 17 and 18 are provided for releasing coupling of the coupling device 14 when traveling speed of the work machine 1 becomes faster than traveling speed of the carrier 9 and more than conventional traction acts on the coupling device 14. When deviation occurs in a traveling direction of the carrier 9 to a traveling direction of the work machine 1, the deviation of the traveling direction is detected in the coupling device 14. A steering controller 19 is provided for operating a steering system of the carrier 9 and controlling the traveling direction so as to correct the deviation.
