To provide a coupling device which couples vehicles of a non-track system to each other by increasing a coupling range.
According to the connection device 1 of the present invention, a male side coupling unit 2 at a front side vehicle 101 and a female side coupling unit 5 arranged at a rear side vehicle 102 are coupled, thereby, the front side vehicle 101 and the rear side vehicle 102 are coupled to each other. Since male side and female side bodies 21, 51 are pivotably constituted relative to the front side and rear side vehicles 101, 102, a coupling range of the male side and female side coupling units 2, 5 can be increased by that degree. As a result, the vehicles 101, 102 of the non-track system in which position deviation is larger than the railway vehicle traveling on a rail can be coupled to each other.
