Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the fixing force of an extendable plug in a drilled hole by forming the extendable plug so as to have excessive dimensions in an extendable area.
SOLUTION: To introduce an extendable plug 10 into a drilled hole 34 formed at a concrete wall 36, four extendable tongue pieces 14, 16 pressed toward the inside in radial direction and so as to face each other. In this time, a slot 28 is still present, put between the extendable tongue piece 14 of a segment whose cross section is circular and the extendable tongue piece 16 which is positioned inside it and involves a U-shaped cross section opened toward the inside, by which the extendable plug 10 is brought into whole contact with the peripheral wall of the drilled hole 34, except a small interruption part at the slot 28, in a larger extendable area 18 than the outside diameter of an introduced sleeve 12. As a result, the extendable plug 10 involves a contact surface which can be enlarged to the maximum in the diameter of the drilled hole 34 given, therefore, it is possible to generate great fixing force in the wall 36.
