The coupling mechanism 10 includes a fixing pin 16 and a coupling tool 12. The coupling tool 12 includes an engaging member 22 fixed to another vehicle 18 and having an engagement groove 20 engaged with the fixing pin 16, a pinching member 26 having a pinching groove 24 for pinching the fixing pin 16 engaged with the engagement groove 20 and rotatable around the engaging member 22, a locking member 28 keeping the pinching member 26 in a locking state of pinching the fixing pin 16, a hand lever 30 for releasing the locked state by rotating the locking member 28, and a holding member 32 for holding a unlocked state.
