In a male coupling metal fitting A forming a part of the joint part of a fire hose, a male side fire hose 2 is fitted to the base part outer periphery of a male cylinder body 1 engaged with an engagement releasing ring body 3 with a play, and with a short pipe m-1 on the outer periphery. While, in a female coupling metal fitting B, a female side fire hose 8 is fixed to the base part of a female cylinder body 7, and a coupling mechanism 14 to be fitted/locked with the tip part of the male cylinder body 1 s arranged in the tip part of the female cylinder body 7. In this case, four projecting belts are formed in the tip opening edge part of a short pipe m-2, and the projecting belts are expansively opened obliquely outward by fastening/reducing the short pipe m-2 to form the inclined edge part M-2 so as to cover the back of the engaging protrusion part 13 of the female coupling metal fitting B by this inclined edge part M-2.
