Abstract:
To reduce the axial length of a torque converter or flatten the torque converter.
The torque converter includes a pump impeller 20 to which rotating force of an engine is input, a turbine runner 30 which outputs the rotating force transmitted from the pump impeller 20 to an input shaft 3 of an automatic transmission, and a stator 40 supported at an end portion 54a of a stator shaft 54 through a one-way clutch 50. The stator shaft 54 and an inner race 53 of the one-way clutch 50 are integrally formed and coupled to each other to enhance the rigidity strength at the coupling portion between the stator shaft 54 and the inner race 53.
