Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a 'Viscolock (R)' type coupling having the advantages of a 'Viscolock (R)' and which does not make any exceptions of any limitations delaying reaction speed.
SOLUTION: In a coupling having a plurality of friction plates 16 and 17, a housing filled with a viscous fluid and formed by one side 14 of a rotatable member, and a pressure chamber 30 formed by a movable piston 21, and wherein the pressure chamber 30 is supplied by a hydraulic pump unit and the piston 21 presses against a friction coupling 12, a runner provided in a shape of a rotor pump with inside toothing, eccentrically supporting a hollow gear 24 with inside toothing, and dragged by a rotor 23 with outside toothing is composed on the hydraulic pump unit, the rotor 23 with outside toothing and the hollow gear 24 form a rotary pump chamber 27, a pressure groove 40 connects the rotary pump chamber 27 with the pressure chamber 30, and a return line 41 connects the pressure chamber 30 with a reservoir 29.
