To provide a cover body for a roofing material which can be installed in a simple structure easily and at low cost not only in the case of new construction but also even on an outer face of an existent roofing material, and with which snow melting can be performed without using electric energy and room temperature elevation or fall can be suppressed by preventing heat transfer through a roof, and a roof forming body.

A roof forming body 1 is obtained by directly placing and mounting a cover body 21 onto outer faces of tiles 11 of a roof in a freely removable manner so as to cover the outer faces. The cover body 21 is formed from a thin stainless steel plate having a heat insulation performance, and is formed in a shape along the outer faces of the tiles 11. Thus, in winter, the surfaces of the tiles 11 and the cover body 21 are prevented from being frozen, and melting of snow 41 piled up on the roof is promoted by reflecting sunlight and insulating heat. In summer, solar heat 51 is shielded by the cover body 21 and indoor temperature elevation is suppressed.
