Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover glass that is easily manufactured and offers less shape variation of a peripheral portion and superior shock resistance, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor.SOLUTION: A cover glass 1 comprises a transparent base material 10 and a ring-like frame 18 that is made of a heat-shrinkable material and is adhesively placed on a peripheral portion of the transparent base material. Decorating the frame 18 with chromatic or achromatic color prevents touch detection lines disposed in a non-active area 9 of a touch panel sensor from been seen through the cover glass 1.
