To provide a cover member for a mattress to prevent insanitation of the mattress or the like infiltrated with sweat, excretion, body fluid, filth, and the like, prevent the reduction in body pressure dispersion effect of a core material, and effectively prevent bedsore.
The cover member 3 for covering the core material 2 of the mattress 1 or the like is composed by laminating a urethane layer 5 on the surface of a stretchable fiber fabric 4. The urethane layer 5 employs a polycarbonate-based urethane, and the friction coefficient of the surface is set within a predetermined range. The core material 3 has a laminated structure of a low-resilience urethane foam layer 6, a high-density urethane foam layer 7, and a low-resilience urethane foam layer 8, or a laminated structure of the low-resilience urethane foam layer and the high-density urethane foam layer for dispersing body pressure.
