To provide a cover pasting device which enables easy pasting of a cover to a cardboard by any person without fouling the finger with a paste.
A guide for the cardboard is set in a predetermined position by entering the dimensions of a booklet. After (a) setting the cardboard, (b) the cover 44 is set. Then, (c) the user depresses a start button, and a pasting roller 25 descends, stopping above a slitting position for a release paper. Thus the release paper on this side, of the back side of the cover 44, can be released easily. Next, upon the depression of the start button by the user, the pasting roller 25 again descends, (d) stopping below the slitting position for the release paper. Therefore, it is possible to easily peel the release paper on the innermost side, of the back side of the cover 44. After these procedures, (e and f) the pasting roller 25 moves vertically by depressing the start button again by the user, enabling pasting of the cardboard to the cover 44.
