To provide a lid body where separation occurs less easily at a joint surface between a metal member and a sealing material.SOLUTION: A lid body 34 is used for a sealed battery 10 including an opening and a case main body 32 for housing an electrode body 20, and closes the opening. The lid body 34 includes terminal members 40 and 50, which are formed using a first metal as a main body, of at least one electrode of a positive electrode 21 and a negative electrode 22, a sealing plate 60 formed using a second metal as a main body, and a sealing material 70. The sealing plate has an attachment hole for attaching the terminal members. The terminal member is attached to the sealing plate by being inserted into the attachment hole while the sealing material is bonded to a peripheral part of the attachment hole. αL≤αS≤αH is satisfied, where the linear expansion coefficient of the sealing material at 25°C is αS; the linear expansion coefficient of the first metal at 25°C is α1; the linear expansion coefficient of the second metal at 25°C is α2; the larger value of α1 and α2 is αH; and the smaller value is αL.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
