Abstract:

To provide a cover stent for more safely performing reinforcing treatment by a stent after the treatment of blood vessel phyma by thinly and homogeneously forming a cover layer comprising flexible biodegradable organic polymeric fibers on an outer surface, and its manufacturing method.

The manufacturing method of the cover stent of this invention is characterized by forming the cover layer comprising the biodegradable organic polymeric fibers on the outer periphery of an expansible tubular stent whose surface is conductive by electrostatic spraying. Also, in the formation of the cover layer, the tubular stent is rotated with the eccentric position of an inner hole as a rotation center.
